What an AMAZING adventure photography session!!! Jaqui and Kirk are soo freakin’ cute!! Their go to “pose” was smile and laugh and I loved every minute of it lol. We met at Split Rock Lighthouse and hiked around a bit, exploring the shoreline rocks, and pebble beach. Im trying to convince Peter to buy some land up there so we can go up every weekend :) Coming off of a few very slow months, adventuring with these two was just what the doctor ordered.
We met them early morning at Pikes Place Market. We were greeted by the faint smell of fish, the bustle of the flower sellers making (stunning) spring bouquets, and a piano player jamming away on a public piano! It was the perfect way to start a day and an engagement session! We walked around the market and ventured down to the gum wall in a little alley below the market! It was so cool and so gross at the same time! The place was probably covered with Rona, but we were enjoying the empty spaces. & Sadie — their super sweet pup — could sniff around to her hearts content!
Sooo planning a wedding is a big undertaking and I want to help.
Below are some favorite vendors I have or want to work with! They all do tremendous work and am always impressed by each of them! This is by no means an exhaustive list, but a good starting point for you to work with as you plan you wedding day.
Yana & Will’s wedding will forever be one of my favorites. The colors, the light, the cuteness, everything!!! It was the first nice weekend in Minnesota all year which makes it all the more memorable. We (Peter and I) met Yana and Will at Columbia Hall Manor — Columbia Golf Club in Northeast Minneapolis on May 26th, 2019. We spent some time capturing the small details of their wedding day and “strolled” more like huffed and puffed our way up a very steep hill to where Will was waiting for their first look. They exchanged gifts before they saw each other (so sweet). Yana gave will a star map of a special place/time in their lives and Will gave Yana a book, “The Velveteen Rabbit” which was very special to her. Will’s reaction when he saw Yana for the first time was so sweet and honestly perfect. They hugged and kissed and checked each other out before we went on to more portraits.
Saturday, April 4th was supposed to be the day, Michelle and Josh said “I do” in front of their closest 150 family and friends at my new favorite Minnesota wedding venue: PAIKKA. Instead, they wedded up by in front of a webcam and live-streamed their ceremony to their immediate family. Michelle’s dad officiated, and two of their friends were present to be witnesses. This was not what Michelle & Josh had planned nor expected for their wedding day, but regardless of what happened in the world, they were going to be married!
Now this is what I call and adventure session! We (Peter, Jake, and I) did not know what we were getting ourselves into with the 5 mile trek to the Franklin Falls haha (Amanda did)! We couldn’t park at the normal trailhead, due to snowpack, so we had to drive back down the highway a few miles to exit 47. We parked on the side of a road and just started walking lol.
These two amazing souls got married last November at the Minneapolis Golf Club and it was such a FUN wedding!!! Some memorable moments include first look tears, a second pair of tux pants, and a flash mob…. yes a flash mob. It was amazing!!!
Annie and Joey are the kindest souls you will ever meet and it was such an honor to finish my wedding season last year with their November wedding! Cheers to the happy couple, may you never need to buy extra pants again!
What an amazing trip :) Not only did I kill it on the slopes (sort of) but I got to work with these two adventurous newlyweds and shoot their engagement session in Frisco, Colorado in the heart of winter and it did not disappoint.
We meet at a trailhead just outside of Frisco, and strolled through the beautiful pine trees and foothills, then headed to Sapphire Point Overlook on the way to Keystone for some breathtaking mountain views!
